What to know about having a Valley Birth Doula

When should I hire you?

The best time to hire a doula is as early as possible in your pregnancy journey. This ensures availability and allows you to build a relationship over time. Since our doulas take on a limited number of clients, it’s recommended to reach out during your second trimester or earlier if possible.

What kind of births do you attend?

All kinds! We have experience supporting folks in planned cesareans, homebirths, medicated and unmedicated hospital births with care providers.

What does "limited space" mean?

We limit the number of families we work with to ensure every client receives the highest level of care and support. This approach allows us to offer personalized attention, deep connection, and a fully present experience, without any sense of being rushed or overlooked.

Are there any extra perks?

Absolutely! As part of our service, you’ll receive a home-cooked meal postpartum—a comforting and nourishing way to help you recover. We also offer access to our lending library, filled with curated resources to support you on topics from birth to postpartum, parenting, and beyond.

What kind of support can I expect?

You’ll receive a perfect balance of evidence-based support, backed by current research and best practices, along with intuitive, heart-led guidance. We trust your instincts as a parent-to-be and work with you to blend science with your inner wisdom.

How is a Valley Doula different?

Our doulas are passionate about walking alongside you through this transformative experience. You’ll feel heard, seen, and supported every step of the way, whether you’re navigating medical systems, preparing for a home birth, or looking for emotional support as you step into parenthood.
